The Abajo Mountains

Is the day time desert heat overpowering? Ascending the Abajo Mountains is the quickest and easiest solution. Harts Draw Road takes you up into the mountains, and is just 10 minutes from the glampground. Here, high elevations, lakes and alpine forests provide cooler temperatures for picnicking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking or floating in a tube.

We provide free tube rentals June through August on a first come, first serve basis!
